Aqui no Écostura não se fazem só malas. Faço um pouco de tudo, consoante as encomendas que me pedem e os desafios que me fazem. Há já algum tempo que não recebia um desafio jeitoso. Recentemente, finalmente alguém me pediu para fazer uma peça diferente.

Esta pessoa pediu-me para lhe fazer um saco para o tapete de yoga, com um bolso externo. Nunca tinha feito nada disto! Sabia como era o processo, porque conheço este tipo de sacos, mas nunca tinha feito nenhum. Claro que não pensei duas vezes e pus logo mãos à obra!

Para fazer esta peça, deixei a pessoa escolher entre alguns tecidos mais resistentes. A pessoa optou por um tecido de cortinado que já tinha usado noutras peças, em duas outras malas mais precisamente. É um tecido lindíssimo, verde, com ramagens douradas, e que sobrou quando cortei tecido de um cortinado para fazer as baínhas. Utilizei, então o tecido para fazer tudo: o corpo do saco, a alça, e o bolso. O tecido é super macio e nem precisava de forro porque já tinha uma preparação boa no interior. O sistema de fecho foi feito com um atacador preto e um botão de um casaco antigo, da minha coleção de botões em segunda mão. Nada foi comprado e foi tudo cosidinho sem máquina.

Adorei fazer este saco. E adoro o resultado final. Acho que ficou mesmo bonito e muito zen. Em baixo deixo as fotos do resultado final.

Here at Écostura, I don't make only handbags. I make a bit of everything, according to the orders I receive and the challenges that people make me. I hadn't received a challenge in a while. Recently, someone did challenge me to do something different.

This person asked me to make a bag for their yoga mat, with an external pocket. I had never done something like this! I knew how the process was, because I knew these bags, but I had never made one. Of course I didn't think twice and I started right away!

To make this item, I let the person choose among the most resistant fabrics. They opted for a fabric from a curtain, which I had used before in other items (more specifically in two other handbags). It's a beautiful fabric, green with golden branches, and it was a leftover fabric from a curtain to which I had to do the seams. So, I used this fabric to make everything: the body of the bag, the handle, and the pocket. The fabric was super soft and it didn't need an inside fabric because it had a good preparation inside. The closing system was made with a shoelace and an old button from a jacket, from my collection of second hand buttons. I didn't buy anything to make this bag and I sewed everything with no machine.

I loved the process. And I absolutely love the final result. I think it's really pretty and very zen. Find below the photos of the final result.
