Raposas

Lembram-se do post da semana passada, sobre a mala cor de laranja? Pois bem, o tecido que sobrou das calças ainda deu para fazer mais coisas. A primeira foi feita a partir dos bolsos da parte de trás das calças.

Aqueles que me conhecem bem sabem que tenho uma "pancada", para não dizer obsessão, por certos animais. Um deles é a raposa. Especialmente quando chegamos ao início do Outono. Se calhar, em Portugal, ainda não se sente esta estação. Mas, onde vivo, já há folhas castanhas e amarelas no chão, chuva, e já saio com um cachecol leve para a rua.

Por isso, quando vi estes bolsos, vi também uma raposa! Ora vejam.

Este item é uma bolsa. Não comprei material nenhum para a fazer. Já tinha tudo em casa. É o que acontece quando se começa a coser. Começamos a acumular tecidos e, a partir de uma certa altura, já não precisamos de comprar grande coisa. Esta raposa ainda não tem dono. Por isso, encontra-se à venda!

Uma amiga gostou tanto desta peça que pediu que lhe fizesse um estojo no mesmo modelo. Aqui fica o resultado final.

Mais uma vez, não comprei material nenhum para a fazer. Podem verificar que o forro é o mesmo que vos mostrei no post anterior. O botão, tinha-o no meu kit de costura.

Como podem ver, umas calças dão para fazer muito mais peças do que uma mala. É só puxar pela imaginação. Fica a ideia!

Do you remember last week's post, about the orange handbag? Well, there were some leftovers of textile from the orange jeans and I made two more items from it. The first one was made from the back pockets.

Those who know me well, know that I have an obsession for certain animals. One of them is the fox. Particularly when I start to feel the autumn. Maybe in Portugal the season is not yet felt. However, where I live, the brown and yellow leaves are already on the ground, it rains a lot, and I leave the house with a light scarf.

Hence, when I saw these pockets, I also saw a fox! Take a look.

This item is a small purse. I didn't buy any material do make it. I had all at home. This is what happens when you start sewing. You begin to accumulate material, which means you don't need to buy stuff that often. This fox doesn't have an owner yet. So, it's currently for sale!

A friend of mine liked this so much that she asked me to make a pencil case in the same model. Here's the final result.

Once again, I didn't have to buy any material. You can see that the inside textile is the same from the orange bag. As for the button, I had it in my sewing kit.

As you can see, you can make more than a handbag from jeans. You just need to use your imagination. Get inspired!
