Painel de wc

Nas paredes da nossa casa, existem buraquinhos de parafusos que nunca chegaram a ser tapados. Nós também decidimos não os tapar, na esperança de os ir enchendo com memórias nossas ao longo do tempo e com algumas peças de decoração. Sempre de forma lenta, sem pressas, para termos a certeza que tudo fica ao nosso gosto e que não nos arrependemos de ter escolhido alguma peça. 

A casa de banho pequenina tinha um destes parafusos no azulejo. Acho que antigamente estava ocupado por um espelho. Mas nós queríamos pôr algo diferente naquele lugar. Por isso, decidi fazer alguma coisa com tecido. Peguei num pedaço de umas calças de ganga e cosi padrões inspirados na técnica de Sashiko, com linha branca de bordar comprada em segunda mão. Depois, cosi pedaços de um tecido que tinha em casa em volta da ganga, para dar alguma cor. No final, adicionei um bocado de tecido de um forro de um cortinado na parte de trás. Depois de terminado, foi só arranjar uma caninha para pendurar no parafuso.

Não comprei material novo nenhum para fazer esta peça. E posso garantir-vos que não há peca igual em casa nenhuma. Porque esta fui eu que fiz, ao nosso gosto, com padrões que tinha em mente há muito tempo. Ficou longe de perfeito, até porque foi a minha primeira aventura inspirada na técnica de Sashiko e não tinha lápis branco para traçar os desenhos no tecido. Foi feito tudo sem um padrão desenhado e muitas coisas sairam tortas. Mas gosto tanto do resultado final! Veio dar mais uma corzinha ao wc. E assim o parafuso não se sente tão sozinho na parede.

On the walls of our house, there are holes from screws that were never filled in. We also decided not to fill them, hoping to fill the walls with memories as the time goes by or some decoration items. Always in a slow way, without rushing, to make sure that everything we put on the walls are things we like and that we don't regret putting there.

The smallest bathroom in the house had one of these lonely screws on the tiles. I think there was a mirror there before. But we wanted to put something different there. So, I decided to make something with fabric. I used a piece of fabric from blue jeans and I sewed patterns inspired in the Sashiko technique, with white embroidery thread that I bought in second hand. Afterwards, I sewed pieces of a fabric I had at home around the jeans fabric, to give it some color. In the end, I added a piece of fabric from an inside part of a curtain to the back part of the panel. After I finished, I just had to get a stick and hang it on the lonely screw. 

I didn't buy any new materials to make this piece. And I can guarantee that there is no piece like this one in any home. Because this one was made by me, according to our taste, with patterns I had in mind for a long time. It's far from perfect, also because this was the first time I ventured into this path inspired in the Sashiko technique and I didn't have any white pencil to draw the patterns on the fabric. It was all made without drawn patterns and many things turned out clumsy. But I love the final result! It gives a little more color to the wc. And now, the screw is not so lonely on the wall.
