O regresso das malas

Pois é, como o título deste post diz, as malas regressaram. Voltou a apetecer-me fazer malas, que é o foco inicial do Écostura. Esta semana, acabei uma e estou muito contente com o resultado final. A parte da frente foi feita com uns restos de um cortinado no qual tive de fazer as baínhas. A parte de trás foi feita com um bocado de umas calças cor de vinho. Também as alças foram feitas com bocados das mesmas calças. O forro foi feito com bocados de um lençol branco. Por isso, na verdade, a única coisa que não foi reciclada foi o fecho. De resto, foi tudo reutilizado.

Assim que vi o tecido do cortinado fiquei apaixonada. Achei de o padrão era lindo e que valia a pena fazer uma mala com ele. O que acham? Fica mais um exemplo de como podem transformar tecidos e roupas que tenham em casa e que já não usem. Lembrem-se, nada é lixo. Tudo se aproveita!

Well, it's true, the handbags have returned. I really wanted to make handbags again, which is the initial focus of Écostura. This week, I finished the one in the photos and I am super happy with the final result. The front part was made with a piece of leftover curtains on which I had to make the seams. The back part was made with a piece of dark red jeans. The handles were made with pieces of the same jeans. The inside fabric was made out of white bed sheets. So, the only thing which was not reused was the zipper. Everything else, is reused. 

As soon as I saw the curtain fabric I fell in love. I thought the pattern was beautiful and that it would turn into a pretty handbag. What do you think? Here is another example on how you can transform old fabric and used clothes into useful items. Remember, nothing is waste. You can transform everything!
