Para as brincadeiras

Há dias, uma amiga pediu-me para fazer um avental para o filho dela. O menino tem 2 aninhos, e por isso, quando brinca, com canetas, tintas, ou mesmo quando ajuda a mãe na cozinha, fica todo sujo. Obviamente que não hesitei e disse logo que lhe fazia o avental com todo o gosto!

Até hoje, só tinha feito um avental. Foi das primeiras peças que fiz. Desta vez, melhorei a técnica. E ADORO o resultado final. Até me apetecia ficar com ele! Fiz uns tamanhos acima, para que sirva durante muitos anos (porque o menino está a crescer muuuito depressa e estou mesmo a ver que se fizesse um tamanho pequeno, depressa ia deixar de servir...). Foi feito com um pedaço de umas calças bege e pedaços de umas calças de pijama com umas riscas azuis lindas. Os tecidos são macios e é tudo fácil de dobrar e arrumar. Acrescentei um bolso à parte da frente. Grande, para caberem lá os brinquedos e as tralhas todas, mais as migalhas que lá cairão. Tudo reaproveitado de roupa usada. São estas as peças que mais gosto. Agora só falta passar a ferro para ficar tudo direitinho.

Some days ago, a friend asked me to make an apron for her soon. The boy is two years old and when he plays, with pain, pens, or even when he helps his mother in the kitchen, he get's everything all over his clothes. Obviously, I didn't hesitate and I told her that it would be my pleasure to make the apron!

Until today, I'd only made one apron. It was one  of the first things I made. This time, I improved the technique. And I LOVE the final result. I even wanted to keep it for me! I made it a few sizes bigger, so that the boy can use it for many years (because the child is growing soo fast and I predict that, if I made this in a smaller size, it would stop fitting him very quickly...). It was made with pieces of bege pants and pieces of pijama pants that have these beautiful blue stripes. The fabric is soft and the apron is easy to fold to keep it in a cabinet or closet. I added a pocket on the front. Big, to fit all the toys and stuff, and maybe even some crumbs that will eventually fall in there. I only made it with used clothing. These are the items I love the most, when I don't need to resort to new fabric. Now, I only need to iron it, to make everything pretty.
