Campestre

A prova do quanto eu gosto de malas é definitivamente este blog. Sim, é verdade, fiz mais uma mala. E a que vos mostro hoje, não sei porquê, transmitiu-me uma energia campestre. Talvez pelas cores e pelo forro… Não vos sei explicar. Mas vejo-me de alça no ombro ou pela mão, a passear no campo. 

A malinha de hoje foi feita com bocados de calças bege e bocados de umas calças de ganga azul escuro. Tem imenso espaço e um bolso no exterior, na parte da frente. O forro foi feito com um tecido que me foi oferecido há já bastantes meses. O sistema de fecho foi feito com dois botões de madeira que tinha aqui por casa e as alças foram feitas com bocados das mesmas calças de ganga azul escuro. Evito usar alças de cabedal, a não ser que me peçam muito que as coloque aquando de alguma encomenda. Ando também a evitar usar pressinta, porque muitas vezes não consigo encontrar pressinta de algodão, só de polyester, e porque por vezes a pressinta destoa da própria mala e não gosto do efeito. Por isso, ando a investir nestas alças feitas com tecido. E acabo por não comprar nenhum material extra! Gosto muito.

Gosto muito da energia desta mala. Para além disto tudo, é fácil de arrumar, sendo super maleável. Torna-se fácil arrumá-la no armário quando já não a queremos usar ou levá-la em viagem, dentro de outras malas.

The proof of how much I love handbags is definitely this blog. Yes, it's true, I've made another handbag. And the one I am showing you today is transmitting me a rural vibe, I have no idea why. Maybe it's its colours or the inside fabric… I don't know. But I can see myself with it over my shoulder or in my hand walking on fields.

Today's handbag was made with pieces of bege trousers and pieces of dark blue jeans. It has loads of space inside and it has an outside pocket, on the front. The inside was made with a fabric someone gave me some months ago. The closing system was made with two wooden buttons that I had at home and the handles were made with pieces of the same dark blue jeans. I avoid using the leather handles, unless someone asks for them in an order. I am also avoiding using what in Portuguese we call "pressinta", because sometimes I can't find it in cotton and I can only find it in polyester. Also because "pressinta" sometimes doesn't match the handbag and I end up not enjoying the final result. Thus, I've been investing time on handles made with fabric. In the end, I don't buy any extra materials! I like it a lot.

I really like the energy of this handbag. Moreover, it's super easy to store, being foldable. It makes it easy to keep in a closet when we don't want to use it or bringing it a bigger suitcase when travelling.
