Para os patudos com frio

Há pouco tempo, um amigo meu adotou um whippet (um galgo que cresce menos). Este amigo gosta de fazer caminhadas e andar à chuva, e o seu novo amigo gosta de o acompanhar, mas fica com frio e todo molhado. Por isso, pediu-me que fizesse uma capa de chuva para o bichinho.

O amigo forneceu o site com o molde, deu as medidas, e, à distância, pus mãos à obra. Deu bastante trabalho e foi difícil! Mas foi um desafio divertidíssimo. Usei o tecido de um chapéu de chuva estragado para a parte externa da capa e parte de uma camisa de flanela que era muito macia. Depois foi só adicionar os velcros.

Embora não pareça nas fotos, ficou mesmo à medida. As fotos em baixo foram tiradas no momento da prova, mas em casa parece que tudo serviu muito melhor! Acho que, para uma primeira tentativa, não ficou muito mal. E o amigo de quatro patas lá foi vestido para casa.

Some time ago, a friend of mine adopted a whippet. This friend likes to take long walks and get under the rain, and his new friend likes to accompany him, but gets all cold and wet. So, my friend asked me to make a raincoat for the furry friend.

My friend showed me a website with information on how to make the raincoat and he gave me the dog's measurements. From a distance, I started working on this. It was a lot of work and difficult to make! But it was a very fun challenge. I used the fabric of a broken umbrela for the outsider of the raincoat and part of a flannel shirt, which was very soft. Afterwards, I only need to add the velcros.

Although it doesn't look like it in the photos, it look very good on my furry friend. The photos below show the moment when we tried the raincoat on him, but it seem that at home it suited much better! I think that, for a first try, it doesn't look very bad. And in the end, our little friend wore the raincoat on the way home.
