Passinhos de bebé

Cada pessoa tem o seu ritmo. Umas pessoas não gostam de mudanças, outras adoram. Mas, a verdade é que todos nós corremos riscos. Um deles, são as alterações climáticas. Costumam dizer que precisamos de proteger o planeta, que ele precisa de nós. Bem, há uns tempos uma professora disse uma coisa que nunca mais vou esquecer: o Planeta Terra não precisa de nós. Quando desaparecermos, a Natureza toma conta disto tudo, não precisa de nós para nada. A Humanidade é que precisa do planeta. E é por isso que precisamos de o proteger. 

Por isso, tenho vindo a mudar certos hábitos menos amigos do ambiente. Comecei com o uso de sacos reutilizáveis nas compras, os sacos para o pão e a eliminação das carteirinhas de chá. O próximo passo foi a compra de uma escova de dentes de bambu! Quando passei pela loja Sapato Verde, não hesitei em comprar uma. Por isso, venho falar-vos um bocadinho dela.

Devo dizer-vos que estou a gostar muito da escova.

Prós: é leve; limpa como qualquer outra escova; não acumula sujidade por ser de madeira (embora tenhamos de ter o cuidado de por num suporte que não acumule água); tem cerdas resistentes, que não parecem danificar facilmente; aparentemente, e segundo a senhora que me vendeu a escova, dura o mesmo que as outras escovas de dentes que se vendem por aí. 

Contras: a área que as cerdas ocupam parece ser menor, por isso estranhei quando a usei pela primeira vez. 

A escova que comprei é da marca "Hydro Phil" e é feita de bambu. É naturalmente anti-bacteriana, é vegan e não foi testada em animais. As cerdas são feitas de um nylon à base de produtos naturais, por isso não são de plástico. Custou 3,95 euros.

E recomendo a toda a gente! A quantidade de escovas de dentes de plástico para o lixo todos os anos é incompreensível. Já existem alternativas. Porque não aproveitá-las? Já não há desculpas. E podem encomendar online em diferentes sites. Além disso, se estão com receio que a humidade crie sujidade na escova, existem copos biodegradáveis e suportes próprios de cerâmica para estas escovas. Every person has its own rhythm. Some people don't like changes, others love them. But, the truth is that all of us face risks. One of them is climate change. People are used to say that we must protect the planet, that it needs us. Well, some time ago a professor told me something I will never Forget: Planet Earth does not need us. When we're gone, Nature will take care of all, it won't need us for nothing. It's Humanity which needs the planet. And that is why we need to protect it.

Hence, I've been changing certain less environmental-friendly habits of mine. I started with the use of reusable groceries' bags, the bread fabric bags and by eliminating tea bags from my routine. The next step was buying a bamboo tooth brush! When I went to the store Sapato Verde, I didn't hesitate in buying one. So, I'm here today to talk about it.

I must say I like this brush a lot.

Pros: it's light; it cleans like any other tooth brush; it does not accumulate dirt just because it's made out of wood (although you may want to be careful and put it in a holder which doesn't accumulate water at the bottom); it has resistant bristles, which don't bend easily; apparently, and according to the lady who sold the brush, it lasts just as long as other tooth brushes sold in the market.

Cons: the area that the bristles occupy is smaller, so it was a bit weird in the beginning.

The tooth brush I bought is from the label "Hydro Phil" and is made out of bamboo. It's naturally anti-bacterial, vegan and cruelty free. The bristles are made with sustainable plant-based nylon made of castor oil and new natural eco-paints. There are not plastics. And it cost 3,95 euros,

I recommend it to everyone! The amount of plastic tooth brushes we put in the trash every year is crazy. There are alternatives. Why not use them? There are no excuses anymore. And you can order them online from different websites. Moreover, if you're afraid that humidity will create some dirt around the brush, there are biodegradable cups and adequate ceramic holders for these brushes. Here are some photos.
