Literatura (muito) infantil

Há uns tempos atrás, recebi um pedido muito curioso. Uma amiga pediu-me para fazer um livro em pano para o bebé dela. Fiquei entusiasmadíssima! Com a cabeça a mil, cheia de ideias. E assim, aceitei mais um desafio, fazer uma peça que nunca tinha feito antes. A amiga apenas pediu que fosse colorido, com texturas diferentes e, se possível, com algum som... 

O tema que escolhi foi os animais da quinta. Relativamente às texturas, fiz o melhor que pude. Tem lãs, fazendas macias, atoalhados, feltros, botões, fitas, panos aveludados, e um guizo para fazer chinfrineira! E cada página tem material fofinho entre si, daí o volume do livro. Enfim, parece-me que não ficou mal. O bebé por meter na boca, tocar o guizo e puxar o que houver para puxar. Tudo bem cosidinho para que não seja engolido. 

Resta-me dizer que utilizei restos de material para 95% do livro. Tudo vindo dos sacalhões de restos que a minha avó tem por casa. Ficam as fotos do resultado final e mais um ideia do que podem fazer com os tecidos que têm por casa. Digam-me o que acham! Deixem o vosso comentário. E, inspirem-se!

Some time ago, I received a very curious order. A friend of mine asked me to make a fabric book for her baby. I was super excited! With so many ideas, my head was running wild. And so, I accepted this new challenge, to make an item I had never made before. My friend only asked for it to be colorful, with different textures and, if possible, with some sound...

The chosen topic was farm animals. Regarding the textures, I did my best. It has whool, soft fabrics, towels, felt, buttons, ribbons, velvety fabrics, and a bell to mkae lots and lots of noise! Each page has a fluffy material in between, hence the volume. In the end, I think it's not that bad. The baby can put in the mouth, ring the bell and pull whatever is there to pull. Everything was well sewed for the baby not to swallow anything.

I used leftover materials for 95% of the book. Everything came from those huge leftover bags my grandmother has in her house. Here is the final result and one more idea showing what you can do with fabric you have at home. Tell me what you think! Leave a comment. And, get inspired!
