A minha nova mala

Neste primeiro post, decidi escrever sobre a minha primeira criação. Há uns anos, comprei umas calças de ganga roxas. Adorei a cor e foi mesmo por isso que as comprei. A ganga era muito suave e o material bastante elástico. Por isso, quando as encontrei abandonadas no meu armário, quis reaproveitá-las. Transformei-as numa mala.

O corpo exterior da mala foi feito totalmente a partir das pernas das calças. Comprei o tecido interior, o fecho, linha e as alças. O tecido interior é de algodão e tem um padrão com pássaros pelo qual me apaixonei imediatamente. As alças são de cabedal. Sim, não é muito "eco" da minha parte ter comprado alças de cabedal. Mas, foram a primeira opção que me deram na loja quando pedi conselhos. No entanto, já ando a aprender a trabalhar com materiais diferentes. Portanto, o meu próximo projecto terá uma alça mais ecológica.

Esta é, agora, a mala que uso todos os dias! Tem imenso espaço, fica bem com todas as cores que uso e é bastante prática. Fica a ideia.

In this first post, I decided to write about my first creation. A few years ago, I bought some purple jeans. I loved the color and that was the exact reason why I bought the jeans. The material was very smooth and elastic. So, when I found them abandoned in my closet, I immediately wanted to reuse them. I transformed them into a hand bag.

The exterior body is made only with the "legs" of the jeans. I bought the interior textile, the zipper and the handles. The interior textile has this awesome bird pattern which I immediately fell in love with. The handles are made of leather. Yes, it's not very "eco" of me to buy these. However, they were the first option presented to me at the store when I asked for advice. Nevertheless, I am now learning to work with different materials. Hence, one of my next projects will have a more environmental friendly handle.

This is now the hand bag I use everyday! It has lots of space, it goes with all my clothes and it's super handy. Maybe you'll get some inspiration out of it!
